The Purlettes

Straight from Mill Valley, California comes our newest treasure, Sarah Oliver Handbags. 

Sarah Oliver began making handbags as gifts for family and friends, but they gained so much attention that it wasn't long before they were popping up at local trunk shows and retail stores.

As the orders started rolling in, Sarah needed more and more help to produce her beautiful wool bags.  Enter, the Purlettes.  The Purlettes are a group of talented knitters who reside at The Redwoods, a retirement community in California.  Since they've started helping Sarah, they've become the backbone of her company.

Every Sarah Oliver Handbag is finished with handstitching,

and a handpicked vintage brooch.

And they all come with a signature "O" brooch tucked inside as an added bonus!

   Each bag is a one of a kind treasure and we hope you'll love them as much as we do!

New Kids on the Block

We have some new merchants at Post & Gray that we'd like to share with you...

The first is Jeff Hall, who makes beautiful bird houses from recycled wood and stones.  His pieces would look great inside or out!

Next we have LaCreasa Allen and Lisa Wagamon.  They have a great selection of pillows, furniture and accessories.

And last but not least, Clay Andrews, whose Asian inspired collection has a touch of the Far East that can be easily integrated into any interior.

Make your "House Beautiful"

While flipping through the past few issues of House Beautiful Magazine, we noticed that we carry some of the items they feature.  Below you'll find images taken from the pages of House Beautiful and the corresponding items that we have...

Garden stools are great addition to any room... use as a side table, or for extra seating!

This mirror is great in a restroom, but could be put anywhere for a touch of gilded glamour!

Though ours has an upholstered top, it could still be used as a coffee table... or just switch out the top!

Painted or distressed, this is a great statement mirror!

And of course, the classic sunburst mirror.  We have several of these in all different shapes, sizes and styles!

Real Quick...

If you're like us, you're still mourning the loss of way-too-short-lived Domino Magazine (or the even-shorter-lived Blueprint Magazine).  Both publications focused on home decor and fashion with a simple, yet elegant DIY attitude, and disappearance of them has left a gaping hole in my periodical collection.  But alas, there's still hope!  Recently, I discovered Lonnymag.com.  Although it doesn't quite fulfill my need for an actual, tactile piece of reading material, it does help fill the gap left by Domino and Blueprint.
