New in Town

If you shop with us frequently, you know that our inventory is constantly changing at Post & Gray in Charlotte.  In fact, now is a great time to come see what's new because we have 3 new merchants!

The first is Bamboo.  She's got a great selection of lacquered furniture that evokes 1960's Florida life (in a good way!!)

 

Someday I'll have a sunroom filled with items from Bamboo!

 
This adorable cockatoo would be right at home, well, anywhere!

Table accessories and gifts complete the collection.

Second we have Jimmy Pruitt.  Jimmy specializes in antlers and has a whole wall of them to choose from!

 

And finally we have Lynn-Anne Bruns, who's unique items add a touch of whimsy and interest to a boring room.

Several item are paper mache, like this cute green goat!

This Eames reproduction rocking chair is a classic piece that can add the perfect amount of kitch to any room.  Also available in blue and pink.

 Here's another paper mache piece - an aqua deer with tiny origami swans hanging from the antlers!

Accent on Artists Part II

On Saturday June 19th, we had our second Accent on Artist event in Asheville.

Our featured artists were Bee Sieburg, Amy Sullivan, and Carol Bodiford. 

 
Bee Sieburg begins her first painting demonstration inspired by a European cow pasture setting. 

Bee has a handle on her color pallet as she begins to blend different colors.

 

As seen in the background, Bee has a wide variety of original artwork.

 This landscape dip-tic was inspired by one of Amy's trips to Italy.

Playing Favorites

Did you know Google plays favorites?? 

Neither did we, until we recieved a shiny package from Google in the mail.  Thanks to all of you (our many fans), Google has named us one of their Favorite Places!  This basically means that over the past few months, Post & Gray was one of the most popular local businesses on Google.  We're one of less than 250,000 businesses in the US to recieve this recognition, and we just couldn't have done it without you!

Our Favorite Things

Being in the stores everyday,  we all have a few items that we absolutely love, so we decided we should introduce a couple of our staff's favorite picks.

Kate loves these gold bamboo folding chairs.  They're cute enough to leave out all the time, but fold up for easy storage... What could be better?

It was easy for Sally to pick her favorite.  She went straight to this antique French chandelier that's absolutely gorgeous!  Pictures don't do it justice!

Terry's been wanting a dog for quite some time, so it's no surprise she loves this cement garden whippet .  It's the best kind of dog... no barking, no mess!

Allison loves our new line of Alexa Pulitzer stationary.  Known for her graphic design, Alexa has created a beautiful line of stationary that's so pretty, you'll want one of each!
